One application line, different substrate behaviours
CleanShield™ is designed for selected natural stone and compatible ceramic and porcelain tile surfaces.
On suitable treated surfaces, the coating forms a thin transparent protective layer intended to help reduce water, oil and everyday contaminant penetration or adhesion and support easier routine cleaning.
Natural stone and tile should not be treated as identical substrates. Porosity, glazing, polishing, prior sealers and surface finish can materially affect compatibility and performance.

Selected natural stone and tile applications
Natural Stone
Selected porous marble, limestone and travertine surfaces. Small-area testing is recommended because stone mineralogy, porosity and prior treatments vary.
Natural Stone Guide →Ceramic Tiles
Selected ceramic tile surfaces may be suitable depending on glazing, surface texture, porosity and previous treatments.
Porcelain Tiles
Selected porcelain surfaces may be considered, but dense, polished and low-porosity finishes require compatibility testing before full application.
Why small-area testing matters
Tile and stone finishes vary considerably. Before full application, test a small low-visibility area and allow appropriate curing time. Pay particular attention to glazed, polished and low-porosity tiles, previously sealed stone, restored surfaces and substrates with unknown prior treatments.
Protection designed to support easier cleaning
Water Protection
Helps reduce water interaction and penetration on suitable protected surfaces.
Oil & Everyday Contaminants
Can help reduce penetration or adhesion of oil and everyday contaminants at the protected surface, depending on the substrate.
Easier Routine Cleaning
The protective layer is intended to support easier maintenance; it does not eliminate the need for appropriate cleaning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can CleanShield™ be used on tiles?
CleanShield can be used on selected ceramic and porcelain tile surfaces. Because finishes and porosity vary, small-area compatibility testing is recommended before full application, especially on glazed, polished and low-porosity tiles.
Can CleanShield™ be used on natural stone?
CleanShield can be applied to selected porous natural stone including marble, limestone and travertine. Stone response varies, so small-area testing is recommended before full application.
Is CleanShield™ suitable for every tile?
No. CleanShield is not represented as suitable for every tile finish or substrate. Compatibility testing is recommended, particularly for glazed, polished and low-porosity surfaces.
What protection can it provide?
On suitable treated surfaces, CleanShield is designed to help reduce water, oil and everyday contaminant penetration or adhesion and support easier routine cleaning. Results depend on the substrate, finish and application conditions.

Natural stone within the Nusfun solution ecosystem
For projects involving natural marble panels, see EcoMarble™, Nusfun’s ultra-thin natural marble platform. CleanShield™ is a separate surface-protection product. Surface compatibility should be assessed and a small-area test completed before treatment of any specific stone product or finish.
