Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about what CleanShield™ does — and what it doesn't claim to do.
What is CleanShield™?
CleanShield™ is a transparent surface protection coating designed to support easier cleaning and long-term surface maintenance for selected surfaces including solar panels, glass, tiles, stone and stainless steel.
Can CleanShield™ be used on solar panels?
Yes. CleanShield Solar is designed to support easier cleaning and ongoing surface maintenance for selected solar panel surfaces. See the CleanShield Solar page for details.
Does CleanShield™ increase solar output?
CleanShield™ is designed to support easier cleaning and surface maintenance. It does not guarantee a specific solar output increase — real-world results depend on local environment, panel angle, surface condition, cleaning frequency and maintenance.
Is CleanShield™ self-cleaning?
It may help reduce surface contamination and support easier cleaning, but regular maintenance may still be required. CleanShield™ does not claim to be 100% self-cleaning.
Is it suitable for all surfaces?
No. Small-area testing is recommended before full application, especially on special, aged, coated or sensitive surfaces. If you're unsure, send us a photo of your surface and we'll advise.
How is CleanShield™ supplied?
